BuildUp Apprentice is made for you to find success in your trade to meet your potential and benefit the industry into the future. Membership with the organisation is entirely free and always will be provided by the generous support of our members.
When you sign up as an apprentice, young or old, employed or prospective, you’ll gain access to tools, information, support, and mateship to help you better navigate your trade and seek better outcomes as you progress through your apprenticeship.
BuildUp Apprentice is structured to be inclusive of all current and prospective apprentices, so, upon joining the community, you’ll be provided with relevant access and tools to find the next steps to your success. Currently employed apprentices will be paired with experienced tradespeople with no stake in your current employment, to provide you with mentorship and ongoing support.
With a mentor on your side, you’ll have somewhere to turn when things get tough. Prospective apprentices will gain access to a wealth of information on how to find the best employment, an opportunity to upload your resume to our network, and the same information to assist you in achieving better financial and health outcomes.
Connect with an experienced tradesperson within your field. Your mentor will regularly contact you to provide support and advice, and you’ll be able to turn to them if you ever face abuse or mistreatment at work.
Access the BuildUp Apprentice community network and connect with peers working locally and around the country. Enjoy the Smoko Van Podcast each week, and you may even see the van near your worksite.

In your BuildUp mentor, you’ll have somewhere to turn when your work becomes overwhelming. Share your experiences – your problems, questions, victories, and growth – with your mentor and you’ll find their insight and advice will help you make the most of your time as a tradesperson-in-training.
Reach out to your community with the BuildUp Apprentice app and participate in discussions, providing your own methods for finding success, coping with difficult challenges, support for your peers, and celebrate the good times.
